Summer Walks.
During the summer months there will be walks starting and finishing at Eastcote House Gardens. These walks are part of the Explore Hillingdon project that has been awarded the London 2012 Inspire Mark.. Places on all walks will be limited.
Bat Walks, 20 people per walk, Tuesday 26th June 2012  and Monday 2nd July 2012. Assemble 8.45. To book a place please contact Dragana Knezevic Countryside Officer. dknezevic@hillingdon.gov.uk.
History Walks. 20 people per walk. Saturday 21st July and Saturday 4th August. 2pm. To book a place please contact lesley.crowcroft@tiscali.co.uk 


Jubilee Picnic.
Saturday June 2nd 2012. 12 noon- 4pm.
The Mayor of Hillingdon will dedicate the Jubilee Orchard and present the Hinman Shield.
Events, Stalls, and lots of fun.
Bring your own Picnic.
Regrettably there is no parking available at the Gardens.


Vintage Tea Garden.
Sunday June 8th 11am -4pm.
Enjoy Home made cakes, Cream Teas. Bone china table ware.

The Stables and Dovecote will be open 10-4 Sunday September 23rd.

 Calling all Gardeners.West London Composting, who are based near the Harefield rubbish and recycling centre, are trailing a new compost giveaway scheme this year. On Thursday 10th & Friday 11th May between 4 and 6 pm Hillingdon residents, who produce a valid Hillingdon First card; will be able to collect 3 bags of pre-bagged compost from the centre.

Working parties.
 Summer working parties, Sat 19th May, Sat 21st July and Sat 15th Sept from 10.30am to 1pm. Volunteers needed to help keep the area around the Kings College Playing Fields, litter free, and the vegetation under control.

Friends of Ruislip Lido.
Friends of Ruislip Lido  www.friendsofruisliplido.net have recently initiated a weekly practical volunteer work day at the lido - every Thursday from 9.30am to 1pm (though as a volunteer you can leave earlier if you wish/need to).  If anyone would be willing/able to attend, I'm sure it would be much appreciated!  Just meet at the boathouse (the big green 'hut' on the dam, inside the lido gates) wearing old clothes.  There is a free car park near to the Waters Edge pub.
 All tools/gloves will be provided.  The council officer overseeing the day is Richard Hutton, Woodlands Officer (who also runs the various Ruislip Woods practical volunteer days, ). If you have any questions, or wish to tell him that you plan to attend, please ring him on 01895 677074.

Eastcote Bowls Club.
 Open Day on Sunday 13 May. The event starts at 10am and will finish about 2pm and it is hoped to introduce new people to bowling. Of course if they like it, they may take it up permanently. There will be bowls coaches available to get people started and refreshments will be served.  We are situated at the Cavendish Playing Fields in Field End Road at the end of the tennis  courts.
Bowls is a sport for all ages (our youngest member started at 13 years old and others have begun at 15). Our Club is a mixed club with matches both away and at home.
