There is a photography area of the site. This contains pictures of a few of our events including the 2005 Christmas Carol Singing. A message board area has now been added and information on forthcoming events is also added when details are known

We remind members that
Easter Egg Hunt The Easter Egg hunt took place on Easter Sunday again. As usual this was a great success with approximately 70 Egg hunters racing around the park. We hope that 1 or 2 of those parents who enjoyed the event will consider helping with the organisation next year. AGM The Annual General Meeting took place on 11th May 2006. Approximately 30 people took part in an interesting debate mostly about the issues of maintaining our estate. We hope to be spending some of the Associations money on maintaining the estate sign, possibly adding a further estate sign and also considering some additional planting in conjunction with Hillingdon Council. All points as agreed at the AGM. The subject of the maintenance of the triangle at the junction of The phone number for the Parks Patrol is 01895-239241. This number can be used to report any problems in
Neighbourhood Watch We thank Chris Head for stepping forward to be our Neighbourhood watch coordinator and wish him well. The main responsibility of a Neighbourhood Watch Co-coordinator is to make sure messages from the police received through Ringmaster are circulated via the established cascade system to the Street Co-coordinators, who pass the messages on to their local neighbours. We are a relatively burglary free area but incidents do still occur. As warmer weather approaches we remind residents that open windows can be an invitation to burglars. Please think about shutting windows when going out and also consider shutting front windows when you are in the back garden.
Article 4 Direction The Council are currently considering a new consultation on a road by road basis. Information can be obtained from the Planning Department, on 01895 250111. The Committee will not take a stance on the Article 4 matter. We will remain impartial as we believe this is up to individual residents to express their views. Should you receive a letter regarding consultation, please respond as it is your input which helps the Council formulate policy.
Estate DVD A video of the estate was made by residents in 1997 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Estate. The video gave an account of the history of the Estate from 1937-1997. This was done exceedingly well both by the residents and with the assistance from some professionals. The video provides interesting details on the history of the estate. We feel this is a valuable record for any residents both from an interest point of view and as an advertisement for our Estate. This video is now available in DVD format priced at £12.50. Please contact Richard Maude for your copy. (Every home should have one).
New Committee Members needed We are currently 2 short of the 10 required committee members. Should you be interested in joining the committee please contact one of the existing members. The secretary will normally be happy to invite 1 or 2 guests to our meetings to give them an idea of what goes on prior to officially joining the committee. As with most people the existing committee has limited time to spend on estate matters so additional members would help us do more. Joining the committee will improve your knowledge and contacts around the estate. Whilst there is a certain amount of business for the committee to conduct, the meetings have proved to be friendly, interesting and enjoyable events. The Eastcote Park Estate Association is part of what makes our estate special so we do hope that more members will step forward.
Subscriptions Most of the Road Stewards have now collected their subscription for 2006. Should you have been left a note to say they missed you please pay direct to the treasurer at Road Stewards Required Our road stewards play a vital part in the existence of the Association. The tasks of the road stewards are to circulate newsletters and other leaflets (approx. 4 per year), to collect the subscriptions and to welcome new residents to the estate. There is a Road Stewards and Neighbourhood watch social evening in March every year to enable the volunteers to meet each other and also meet the committee. Should you be interested in carrying out this role please advise a member of the committee.
